About Pineywoods Metal Buildings
Last reviewed:
One phone number and a set of plain guides for people planning a metal building in East Texas. Run by Texas Homeowner Referral Service. The operator lives in Polk County. We don’t build anything.
Why this site
Metal shops and barndominiums go up all over the Pineywoods, but most of what you find online is national kit sellers and out-of-area builders. This site lays out the costs with sources, the order of work on rural land, what Texas law says about permits and contracts, and gives you one number that reaches a builder who works here.
When you call
- Tell us what you’re building, where, and roughly when
- We pass it to the one independent builder we currently work with for that area and type of job
- They call you, talk through the project, and quote it. You deal with them directly.
Who uses it
Most callers own a few acres outside town and want a shop, a barndo, or both. Some already have a kit quote and need a slab or erection crew. Some are still shopping for land and want to know what building will really cost before they buy. All of them get the same thing: one builder who works in their county, and the guides on this site.
How the guides are written
Every cost figure and legal rule on this site links to its source: HomeAdvisor’s national cost guides, the Texas statutes, TCEQ, TDLR and Texas811. We say when a number is national rather than local, and when we couldn’t confirm something we say that too, rather than guessing. If you spot something out of date, email us and we’ll check it.
Who runs it
The operator lives in Polk County and has spent 25 years in IT, not construction. That’s the point: this site doesn’t sell a building or push a brand of steel. It lays out what a property owner should know before talking to a builder, and gets one local builder on the phone when you’re ready.
